Susan Sender
Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive

Susan Sender is responsible for Gentiva's clinical operations. As Chief Nursing Executive, she oversees clinical practice standards and clinical operations processes. Susan provides leadership, expertise and consultation to all of the Company's business lines, and leads the creation and implementation of clinical practice guidelines, accreditation, clinical liability, clinical forms and policy development.

Susan joined Gentiva in 1988 as the Director of Professional Services in the Westbury, NY branch. She then moved into the Quality Assurance Manager role for the Northeast. Subsequently, she became the Director for Policy and, later, Assistant Vice President.

Prior to joining Gentiva, Susan worked for a number of small homecare agencies as well as for private individuals. Before that, she was a staff nurse for the North Shore/LIJ health system.

Susan earned her BSN in nursing from Adelphi University. She is a registered nurse.
